To register for online courses, please call 217-443-8800. PLEASE NOTE: If you register for classes today, Blackboard courses will not appear on your Bb Course List until the next day.

How to get started with your online course:

1. Get your ID and password

NOTE: If you have problems retrieving your username and/or password, contact the Computer and Network Services department at cns@dacc.edu or 217.443.8871 (Jeff Williams) or 217.443.8861 (Naomi Yonke).

2. Locate your course and its web address by clicking on this link:
    Fall Term 2011 course list

PLEASE NOTE: Most online courses offered at DACC are taught via Blackboard with the exception of the following courses. Please use course web addresses provided below for those courses:

BOFF-140-W [Medical Terminology - Instructor: Michelle Cornell] (uses Evolve)
CECN 102 WH [Microeconomics - Instructor: Steve Downing] (uses MyEconLab)

ASED-056-WH [GED Review - Instructor: Stacy Orlea] Click Here for Information

3. Email your instructor! It's like taking role call on the first day class and raising your hand when your name is called. You need to make initial contact with your instructor. If your course uses Blackboard, email the instructor using the internal course email tool. If you do not see an email tool in your Blackboard course or other course portal, send an email to your instructor's DACC email account by using the email address you found on the course list.

4. Get Started! Once you log into your course, you should see some directions about what to do next, and how to begin working in the course. The instructor will probably have a syllabus and other course information for you to read. Contact your instructor if there's something you don't understand!

Please note: online courses usually still require textbooks!
Be sure to check with the campus bookstore!
